You can get rid of the skin saver by selecting "no" in the "Splash Screen" area, which will disable the installed image.

The third method (registry editor)

  1. Use the Windows + R hotkeys to open the window "Execute" and enter the following - "regedit" - without quotes. Then press Enter.
  2. In the window that opens, find the Desktop section by the path: HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop
  3. Find the element SCRNSAVE.EXE by clicking on it, a window will open for you "Changing the string parameter". In the "Value" field, enter the full path to the screen saver and click on "OK". If you haven't found the desired item, create it yourself by clicking on the empty space of the open registry window. In the context menu, first click on the "Create" task, then - "String parameter". Name the resulting parameter with the name SCRNSAVE.EXE. Important! Do not allow spaces in the screen saver name.
  4. In order to set the desired time for automatic activation of the screensaver, find the-ScreenSaveTimeOut element in the registry and click on it. In the window that opens, enter the desired number in seconds and apply the settings by clicking "OK". If you do not find the parameter mentioned above, create it according to the same principle as SCRNSAVE.EXE, following step 3 (of the current method).
  5. Now it remains to wait for some time, and your screensaver will automatically start working.
